COVID-19 Travel Restrictions

Kingswood volunteers and staff are diligently working to stay compliant with CDC and NYS DOH guidelines and regulations.  We are following these recommendations and mandates to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and ask that you do your part by reviewing the travel regulations as well.

These travel regulations were set forth by Governor Cuomo in Executive Order 205 and are constantly changing. In some cases, quarantining may be necessary. Kingswood Campsite can not be used as a place of quarantine. Please review the guidelines and the Kingswood Memorandum of Understanding below, before joining us at Kingswood Campsite.

For additional information please view the NYS COVID-19 Travel Advisory. You can find the advisory and Executive Order 205 by clicking here.

Memorandum of Understanding

We are excited to be able to provide a wonderful experience that you and your family have been anxiously waiting for. The volunteers have been working non-stop to get Kingswood open while putting in place measures that will allow us to run safely and professionally for the 2021 season.

To mitigate the risks, we have implemented the following procedures:

We will continue to work closely with the NYS DOH and NY Forward and to follow the most current guidelines established by the CDC for best practices with regards to preventing, identifying and managing COVID-19.

We will be cleaning & sanitizing Oasis, the bathhouse once daily, with additional sanitizing as needed based on the number of campers in camp. We have soap and paper towels supplied at the bathhouse sinks and hand sanitizer at the bathhouse door. To assure social distancing every other stall and shower will be closed. For your peace of mind know that the bathhouse has screen doors, ceiling vents and additional screening which maximizes ventilation. Despite this you will still be asked to wear a mask at the bathhouse.

We will have a maximum number of program participants set at 10 inorder to comply with social distancing requirements of 6 feet. In addition you will be asked to wear a mask. If the beach area is crowded and social distancing can not be adhered to then the number of participants will be limited. There is a maximum of three people on the swim dock.

We will provide a bleach solution squirt bottle at each site for you to use to disinfect your kitchen area upon your arrival. We will sanitize the tent opening and mattresses if you are following closely behind another group using the site. Before your arrival the tent flaps will be left open to maximize ventilation. Please do not use bleach on the tent material.

When in the barn whether you are buying items or using one of the recreation areas you are asked to wear your mask and to hand sanitizer before and after using any shared equipment. The barn has large barn doors that are open all day which allows significant ventilation. Please keep your mask with you at all times so you are able to put it on should you enter a building or come in close contact with a staff member or camper.

As we know, COVID-19 will be with us for the foreseeable future. No matter what procedures and protocols are put in place, there is simply no way to guarantee that COVID-19 or any other pathogen or communicable disease will not enter the campground. There is always a risk of your family contracting this or any other disease or infection. And again, we will do our part to help your family enjoy a healthy and safe vacation at Kingswood this summer.
