2023 WEEKLY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

We love children, but please plan to accompany children to all programs.

Morning Watch: 7:00 a.m. Greet the gift of the new day & tend your inner garden with devotions and prayer. D.I.Y.  Worship materials are in the cabinet at the chapel.  Outdoor Chapel.

Swimming (Daily): 1:00–5:00 p.m. Weather permitting & only when lifeguard is on duty.


Sundays: 10 a.m. Informal worship. Come explore the Spirit at work amid God’s beautiful creation at Sunday Worship.  Music, singing, hands-on faith building experiences, children/youth conversations, and sharing communion with each other.  Bring an instrument, bring your voices, bring your creativity!  Led by Kingswood Chaplain, Maria Pia Seirup. Outdoor Chapel (Craft Area in case of rain).


Mondays: 10:30 a.m.–12:30 pm. On-site Insights. Improve your campfire cooking skills. Learn to use pie irons, Dutch ovens, cook on a stick. Borrow the equipment and try the recipes at your site.


Tuesdays: 10 a.m.–Noon. Nature event at the Craft Area.

6 p.m.   Manager’s Pot Luck Supper. A Kingswood fellowship tradition.  Sign up at the barn (number of people attending) and tell us what dish you’ll be bringing. Barn.

6:45 p.m.  Hand-cranked ice cream making & eating at the barn.  Mmm!


Wednesdays: 10 a.m.  Weaving Meet at the craft area to create friendship bracelets or to recycle T-shirts into trivets for your picnic table.


Thursdays: 10 a.m.–Noon.  Hike day!  Guided hike to some part of the 766-acre site, led by various Kingswood friends. See barn display for details.

7 p.m.  Hey! Ride. A Kingswood family tradition. See Saturday’s description.


Fridays: 10 a.m. Stone Ministry – Affirm your faith and commemorate or celebrate a person or life event. Select your special stone and have it cemented into this permanent structure. See the Stone Ministry brochure for details. Stone Ministry site.

10 a.m.  Be Still and Sew. Sewing can be a calming and centering experience. Leave everything behind and join us for a de-stressing time. No experience necessary. All ages welcome. Barn.

Dusk.  (Exact time of program and Hey-Wagon departure will be posted each week in the barn.)  Vespers at Stone Ministry.  Vespers or evening prayer is an opportunity to wind down at the end of the day and prepare for a good night’s sleep.  Gather in the Stone Ministry chapel, rain or shine, for music, inspirational readings, and prayer followed by time for silent reflection.  Campers may walk in or take the Hey-Wagon shuttle from the farmhouse parking lot or Oasis.


Saturdays: (You may split your time between the morning programs.)

9:30–11:30 a.m. or 2:00–3:30 p.m. Stone Ministry:  See Friday description.

9:30 – 10 a.m Guided Walk of the Labyrinth Just before craft time walk labyrinth with our chaplain. It is in the field just above the craft area. Labyrinth

10 a.m.–Noon. Use Dried Flowers to Create a Bookmark or an Ornament Craft Area Before you make a craft, help collect flowers for drying that others will use to make their creation. You might have another idea to try out with some of the dried flowers.

5 and/or 7 p.m.  Hey! Ride: Harry (our 1953 Ferguson tractor), chugs off from the parking lot below the farmhouse over camp roads and through the woods & fields for an old-fashioned ride. Limit 22 per ride.

8 p.m. Campfire at the tepee by the lake. Fireside activities and s’mores.
