What’s a typical day like at Kingswood? That depends — it’s up to you! Chose to make your day as busy or as quiet as you’d like.

Morning Watch: 7 am meet at the outdoor chapel for a time of self-devotion and prayer overlooking Hathaway Pond
Swimming Daily: 1:00-5:00 pm Lifeguard on duty. Beach will close during rain and thunderstorms for safety
Sundays: 10 a.m. – Informal worship at the outdoor chapel. In case of rain, the service is held in the upper barn.
Mondays: 10 a.m.-noon – “On-site Insights.” A workshop to improve your campfire cooking skills. All skills and abilities are welcomed! Meet at Tent & Trailer.
Tuesdays: 10 a.m.-noon – “Who Calls Hathaway Pond Home?” Who lives in Hathaway Pond? What creatures need Hathaway Pond to help them survive? We know of beavers, birds and deer, but who else? Come and learn more about the known and unknown creatures and animals that call Hathaway pond their home in the form of “Who Calls Hathaway Pond Home?” Bingo!
6 p.m. – Manager’s Pot Luck Supper. A Kingswood fellowship tradition. Sign up at the barn (number of people) and tell us what dish you’ll be bringing.
6:45 p.m. – Hand-cranked ice cream making & eating at the barn. Mmm!
Wednesdays: 10 a.m. –Hike Day! Lace up those boots and put on that bug spray. We’ll provide a guided hike on a part of our 766 acre site, led by various Kingwood friends! More information located on the bulletin boards around camp. Sign up at the barn!
10 am- noon Create your own Picture Frame at the craft area. Come make your very own picture frame out of sticks, string, paint and more!
7 p.m. –Hey Ride! A Kingswood family tradition, a tractor-powered hay ride around Kingswood! See Saturday for a description.
Fridays: 10 a.m. – Stone Ministry – Meet at the barn and join others to affirm your faith and commemorate or celebrate a person or a life event. Select your special stone and cement it into this permanent structure. See the Stone Ministry brochure for more information. Sign up at the barn!
10 a.m. – Kingswood Labyrinth Orientation and Games Meet at the craft area to come learn about labyrinths and the various ways to walk them. Then take what you learned and walk Kingswood’s very own labyrinth. For those who have younger children who do not wish to walk the labyrinth they are welcome to join in group games at the craft area during that time.
7-9 p.m. – An old fashioned Friday Night Social at the barn! This is an opportunity to meet other campers and staff, play board games, do jigsaw puzzles, explore the nature area and participate in other activities. The camp store will be open and the Program Director will be available to answer any questions you may have. Snacks and drinks provided!
Saturdays: Morning: Start with Stone Ministry first, then do the craft, or vice versa.
Two Stone Ministry programs: 9:30-11:30 a.m. (Drop in and cement a stone – no sign-up necessary) OR 2:00-3:30 p.m. (Meet at the barn for tractor ride. Traditional program.) See Friday at 10 a.m. for program details. Please sign up in the barn.
10 a.m.-noon: – Craft Area Activity: Decorate your own Candle Holder at the craft area. Decorate your own candle holder using tissue paper, pressed leaves, flowers and more!
5 and/or 7p.m. –
A Kingswood “Hey! Ride.” Harry (our 1953 Ferguson tractor) chugs off from the parking field across from the farmhouse and goes through various camp roads, woods and fields throughout Kingswood! Bring your voice, instruments, and join the fun. Only seats 20, so sign up at the barn!
8 p.m. – Campfire at the teepee by the lake. Come join in company, songs, stories, games and of course, s’mores!!
