The charming and historic farmhouse at Kingswood is available during the off season starting in the fall and running through the spring. Built in the 1850’s, this home has been carefully restored yet modernized to improve upon its charm and convenience. The Catskill Mountains surrounding the farmhouse envelop you in the beauty that is uniquely Kingswood.
A dining area and a large living room make it convenient to gather for fellowship, games, or meetings.
Kitchen and Dining AreaThe kitchen has lots of room for cooking and is fully equipped.
The farmhouse kitchen includes a spacious refrigerator, a 6-burner commercial gas stove and oven; a microwave, dishwasher, 2-basin sink, plus extensive food prep gear.
Guests bring their own bed linens and food. An overseer will open the facility, and close it after guests leave. Firewood is provided for the airtight stove, which can heat the entire house. Hot water and forced air heat are produced by modern heating units.
The farmhouse can comfortably house 22 guests, dormitory style, in 4 bedrooms. The farmhouse has 2 and 1/2 baths for more convenience. The upstairs main bathroom was remodeled in November of 2014; the downstairs bedroom and bathroom were remodeled in 2016.
Activities – Hike on trails, cross country ski in winter (no gear provided). Nearby Hancock has grocery stores, restaurants and shops.
